Da-Lite Projector Screens

Give your presentations the best viewing experience with the right Projector Screen from Staples. We carry a wide range of Projector Screens to suit your every need. Here are a few things to consider when purchasing your new Projector Screen.

Choose the Right Brand: We carry a wide variety of projector brands from Epson, 3M, Qumi, NEC, Optoma, Viewsonic and many more.

Choose a Mounted or Portable Projector Screen: The first decision in choosing the right screen is to determin where you are going to use it. Do you want your screen to be mobile or can it be placed permanently in one location?

*If the projection screen needs to be attached permanently, choose between a wall (fixed frame) or ceiling mountable (roll-away) screen. Ceiling screens can be attached externally or flush mounted (within the ceiling). Ceiling mounted screens can be controlled either manually (pull down) or automatically (motorized) for greater convenience from a wall switch due or remote control.

*If your projector screen needs to be portable enough to be moved from room to room, or taken with you on business travel, consider floor or table-top free-standing projector screens or screens that can be temporarily hung on a wall like a picture frame. For the best traveling presentation experience, consider projector screens that are optimized in design to be folded into a carrying case, while still able to extend above table height and expand to a 16:9 widescreen ratio.

*Rear projection screens are a cleaner and impressive alternative to front projector screens. Just keep in mind placing the projector behind the screen requires extra space behind the screen that is kept dark.

Choose the Right Screen Size and Aspect Ratio: The second projector screen feature to decide on is screen size and dimension. Consider how big and what aspect ratio your projected image should be.

A Basic Rule: the larger the room, the larger the image, the larger the screen. Also, keeps the bottom of the screen above the front row table or above the heads of the people sitting in the front row. In wide rooms a screen surface with a larger viewing angle is preferred.

If you already have the projector, make sure you know how large the projected image can be from where you mount the projector. This will depend on the projector’s throw distance and zoom ratio. If you don’t have the projector yet, then you can select one at Staples that is optimal for the room and image size.

*Projected presentations can be shared in standard 4:3 format or 16:9 or 16:10 widescreen ratio, so select the screen size that will accommodate the most used image dimension best. Or choose a screen that can be adjusted for both image ratios.

*Whiteboard screens Write directly onto your presentation image with a whiteboard screen. These screens work with dry erase pens and some provide a magnetic backing. Whiteboard screens are ideal for classrooms and smaller meeting rooms.
