It would be nice if it had an opening in the lid so you could toss out other items you dont want to shred, Then it would be a space saving trash can / shredder.Its a hassle to lift the shredder head up and toss items in. Otherwise its good for home use, and a good deal on sale. I dont think it should be rated a 12 sheet shredder 6 to 8 is about the max.

Just what is needed for small jobs all the way to large jobs. The side button safety feature is fantastic. If the shredder is not placed on the basket correctly it shuts it self off. No need to go back and forth with the shred button to be sure it does its job. Put the button on the third mark like and it shreds what you need and shuts itself off, but its ready for the next shredding. I would buy this unit as a gift to help family with their shredding needs.

Enclosed manual specifications state 2 mins. use, 30 minutes rest.

I returned it unused.

This unit... the Shredmaster.... Loved it. It never overheated. We would shred for 1 - 2 hours at a time. We were putting out 14 - 18 large bags of shredded documents twice a week. This is a simple unit... and a very good unit. Very Reliable.
