I had needed the update for the past 3 or 4 months and was wainting for XMAS. When I had gone into Staples and seen it available to stuff in the stocking I was estatic. I had enough Stocking Stuffers that were certificates. Part of Christmas is playing all day with gifts, you cant really enjoy a certificate. Thanks Staples

Well, it took forever to update my GPS as the system hadn't been updated in a while. I tested it out to see if the new information was accurate. Everything went through the system per garmin's emails and alerts but no information is there! What a waste of money since all the old information is there and some of it is incorrect.

Plan to spend an hour or two to download a new set of maps which you should do four times a year. Even with highspeed broadband, the process is lengthy but it leads you thru the steps clearly. A very large file is left on your computer which you may want to delete after loading to the GPS. Instructions don't mention this.
