I got this for my wife when we got her a new car because as we had been car shopping she really loved the vehicles with the built in GPS and Bluetooth but they were a little outside of our price range. I figured this might be a decent work around for a few hundred dollar rather than several thousand for the built-in options. It works even better than expected. She loves the fact that the number pops up on the screen when someone is calling so even if she has the device volume low and her phone on vibrate in the backseat in her purse she still knows she's getting a call. Plus the fact that it syncs with her phone's address book was a huge plus. The GPS works great, and it has a feature we found really useful where we are in rural Maine. The screen will show you the current speed limit of the road you are on as well as the speed you are traveling. It's good for back roads where you're pretty sure it's 45 but not 100% certain. The down side is when I'm driving she can now see how fast I'm going, which is not always a plus... lol...

The only downside is that to access the volume controls you have to exit back to the menu and adjust the volume from there. This is a pain when new calls are coming in. A physical rocker on the side for volume would have been much nicer.

The instruction manual is too brief, and the coding on the example in the book is confusing. I found it totally useless and had to go to an owner to get eveything going. Don't be so cheap and put in an instruction booklet that really has some instructions in it. Once up and running the unit seems to do what I want, but you did a POOR job of getting me started. I am computer savvy and use my computer daily for both personal and business purposes.

The box indicates that a 265WT is inside. The units are labeled as 265W and the set up guide(only a pamphlet with very little detail and says nothing about set up for a 265WT)is for a 205W. Spent a lot of time on my own and at the store, after purchase, sorting through this. [...]BOTTOM LINE>>>the 265WT is part of the 205 series, hence the 205W set up guide. Although the unit is tagged as a 265W, not a 265WT, the traffic T component is there because the T car adaptor is for a Traffic model..who knew??? To get the full edition of the manual for the 265WT you have to go to the web site and download/copy it....all 60+ pages. What an experience...I hope this is passed on to Garmin. Good GPS if you can get beyond this!!!!!

Bluetooth would not work with Nokia & LG phones from Verizon. 1st they provided instruction to fix. Didn't work. Then they said it's not on their list of usable phones. They said "sorry goodby." I'm stuck with the unit. And, when you call service, there's a 35+ minute wait. If you do send the unit for service, you pay postage. My unit is under warranty. So what. Nothing on package says there's a compatability list. That's FRAUD!

I had updated the maps before using the GPS, but when I checked it out on my local routes, the mapping was incorrect.
