Did my research before buying, and staples had a rebate. So decided on this unit. So far so good. I really enjoy it, it's super fast, I've loaded my programs, etc on it and it's still going strong. Mostly non-useful software, but that's expected.

I built my last computer, lasted a long time, was time to upgrade, so I think I made a good choice.

Disappointing.

No real technical info offered. Store techs know nothing about this model and have no references. Mfg Doesn't tell how many available slots it has nor what the power wattage is. Can't find out...Read complete review

No real technical info offered. Store techs know nothing about this model and have no references. Mfg Doesn't tell how many available slots it has nor what the power wattage is. Can't find out if I can easily add a second monitor. Gateway isn't giving out any info online or in print on it. Hard to contact mfg for simple questions. Set up chart is generic. Took a couple of minutes to find the relase latch for the DVD. Cheap wobbly drive, you have to push the tray to close it. USB ports are out of line, it's hard to insert flash drives/cables. Without covers the camera card slots will be dust collectors.
If you have a problem setting it up your manual is loaded in the PC, have fun getting to it.
I think Gateway is selling Boxes, not really interested in consumers. There's no Mfg issued 'setup' disc.

      Had a Gateway desktop for ten years or so and it worked great right up until it was out dated. Naturally we didn't hesitate to get another when shopping for a new desktop and we are thouroughly satisfied once again. This model is perfect for our everyday use, i.e. homework, browsing on-line, research, and the 1TB hard drive is plenty of space for our pictures, videos etc.

        This is my second Gateway desktop. The first machine lasted six years, so I am hoping this new machine will be as reliable. The Core i5 is so fast, and I like the feel of the keyboard that comes with it. I used the Staples Tech Service to transfer files from my own machine and set up the new one, and that is definitely worth the [$] to me.

        Seems to be all it says it is. It is very fast with one of the newest processors out. 6 gigs of ram. nice. And all the current storage ports are factory installed. 2.0 and 3.0 usb capable. Bought at staples. Not much choice for the area. somewhat pricey. A grand by the time it was done. Maintenance package and all. (for my Mother)She has dish internet and it sucks it dry. I like it.

With the power supply, there is the physical size and the specification of the power supply: this is the information of the power supply: 300W/500W in stable mode (Acer Assign System Power Unit), Support 82+ PSU for EnergyStar 5.0 complaint.
