I bought the chairs (two of them) for my 81-year old mother who was discharged that very day from the hospital. Mom needed a sturdy, steady chair, with arms. These were at just the price I was looking for and work perfectly. We keep one in her living room and one at the kitchen table. She can sit down with no problems and get up and transfer to her walker with no problems.

We have had four or five of these chairs break while someone is sitting in them. Very unsafe to use, once they are couple of years old. The welds creak and they go down. Someone is going to get hurt seriously on this chair. Stop using it.
