  The item can hold 520 sheets of paper. There are 13 pockets in the file and the capacity for each pocket can be as much as 400 sheets of paper. However, since there is a fixed bottom (Closed bottom and not expanding), the files overall capacity is limited to 520 sheets total. Therefore, each pocket can comfortably hold 40 sheets if the file is completely full.
