My husband expects things to work well and had a lot if personal papers to shred as well as those pesky credit cards offers that come in the mail. The way this shredder made everything into tiny pieces and not streams of paper was remarkable! He was done with shredding a lot in a very few minutes! It does make noise but what do you expect!? We are both very pleased with this machine which also has a dust cover when not in use. Cannot write about it's durability as we just got it. Here's hoping that it works as well as it does now for a very long time!

We bought this shredder to help our office go paperless. Otherwise we don't do a lot of everyday shredding. We liked the aesthetic and eco-friendly aspects of this particular shredder.While the actual use of the shredder is perfectly fine for our needs, the basket of shredded paper became a huge nuisance. Each time we open the basket, paper flies out from both the basket and beneath the bin (scraps fall behind the basket while shredding/opening). Staples does not sell bags smaller than 8 gallons, so we have put oversized bags in, but this does not help our problem. We have to pull the vacuum out anytime we use the shredder.
