As listed in the OSHA regs on employee information, "it needs to be in a locked case" requires us to buy good quality lockable file cabinets on th jobsite. We cannot get much better than a HON.

I purchased this same cabinet a year ago and the cabinet length adjusted via the back of the drawer that moved. Now there are "followers" that have to be adjusted. They are difficult to move. The first one I purchased was much better. I would suggest looking around for a cabinet that is easier to adjust. They cabinet is very sturdy, though.

The metal is paper thin, with numerous sharp edges. Also, the drawer slides do not have ball bearings, which makes the drawers a chore to open once the cabinet is loaded with files. If you're itching to buy something flimsy, I highly recommend picking one up.

I have owned this file cabinet for almost 2 years, and I have no complaints whatsoever about it. I open the drawers fairly frequently - and they open very smoothly, but I haven't been storing anything particularly heavy in the top drawer. It fits what I need it to - filed bank statements, invoices, office supplies, bound volumes, and lots of other odds and ends. I love this thing. Buy it. You'll like it.
