Print documents in crisp black and white or with vibrant colors with this multifunction color laser printer from HP. The LaserJet MFP M175nw can print from existing files or create direct copies presenting you with the documents you need quickly and easily. The printer can also create new digital copies of documents in full color through the included flatbed scanner.

Multifunction Capability

The MFP M175nw LaserJet printer is capable of operating as a copier and scanner as well as a printer. When printing or copying documents, the output speed of the printer is 17 pages per minute for black-and-white prints or 4 pages per minute for color. The copier mode also comes with automatic copy optimization to improve the look of your copied documents. The built-in flatbed scanner is capable of taking full-color scans of documents and images, saving them to your system.

Network Ready

The MFP M175nw printer can be attached to an existing network using either a wired or wireless connection so that computers on the network can share the printer's functions. A wired connection can be made through a hub or router using an Ethernet connector, while the wireless connection requires a wireless router capable of creating an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi network. The printer can be used without a network connection by plugging it directly into a computer using the USB port.

HP ePrint Support

The LaserJet printer is equipped with HP ePrint support. The ePrint application allows you to create an email address specifically for the printer. Once the address is set up you can print to the printer from anywhere in the world that you have Internet access. The document will be ready for collection when you return to the printer.

great all-in-one printer

I did a lot of research before purchasing this printer and I was hesitant based on limited reviews available and a negative review by PCWorld. However, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. It only took me 30-45 minutes at most to set it up from the time I opened the box until the printer was set up and I could print wirelessly from my computer, iPhone or iPad. The print quality is great - both black and white as well as color - and it's so much better than the OfficeJets. Scanning is easy, fast, and good quality. The only cons I've noticed are that it's somewhat noisy and it is a little slow in starting to print. A few days after setting up the printer we had to switch routers (nothing to do with the printer) and I did have some trouble connecting the printer to the new router; however, I called HP and they were very helpful and able to resolve the issue. I would definitely recommend it.

If you don't print large volumes or you're generally not in a hurry, this is a great all in one. But, if you need to print a lot or care about speed, this isn't the printer for you. The quality is good as is the price, but it's surprisingly slow, even in B&W (I haven't found the 17ppm upper end to be remotely accurate). A 4 page B&W text doc just took 45 seconds (over a minute if you count the time it took to start up). It pauses every 2 or 3 pages for some reason, even after it's been printing a while. Given my usage and impatience I should have spent more and gotten a faster printer.

Shipping was really fast, and setup wasn't too difficult. The only problem I had setting up was that the printer driver installation did not occur automatically as the instructions said it would. I just ended up downloading the driver from the hp support website, and it was easy to install after that. The wireless worked right away, no problems at all. The print quality is also very nice, much better than my old inkjet.

Great Printer! No more worrying if the ink is dried up. Makes great B & W and Color prints. The printer has a very easy setup, only took a few minutes. Automatically finds the WiFi and just connect to your lap top and it loads all the drivers from the printer. Great printer. Extremely happy with this printer.

This is my first experience using a laser jet printer. I was afraid it would be complicated, but it wasn't. I have just started taking online classes, and i print everything out! The ink consumption is low which was a concern for me,i was replacing ink like every month with the old printer. The speed is unbelievable and the color is amazing the printer takes up the same amount of space as the old one which left me plenty of room to shop staples for more office supplies.I would defiantly recommend this product .

It's a very nice printer.Print is in great quality , scanner works nice and quiet. I use this printer with 3 laptops and an IPad. Air print works good and also has great quality. Less experience people may have some problems for the first set-up because the user manual book is poor.

Great printer; tough setup

The printer/copier, are excellent, and the basic setup is easy. The color reproduction is terrific. However, I am using my unit with a Mac and OS 10.6, one of the recommended systems, and the installation instructions are totally inadequate. There is no manual, and the basic instructions are to insert the supplied DVD and follow the on screen instructions. Well, the on screen instructions don't even begin to meet the need. Having booted and rebooted multiple times, and gone online to get help, and followed various instructions to download latest versions of various packages, I finally succumbed and called HP; after most of an hour with a very patient technical whizkid, I got the scanning working, and the wireless printing. I gave up on the wireless scanning; I'll just do that with a USB connector. So in summary, great piece of gear, but the software installation totally ruins the initial experience. BTW, I bought this unit to replace a perfectly good, and perfectly functioning HP 3in1 that could not deal with my upgrade to Snow Leopard. I fully expect this unit to become obsolete on day simply because I make the mistake of upgrading my operating system by a notch.

  Printers generally come with starter cartridges. At about 80% capacity they deplete pretty rapidly due to the amount of ink used to prime the printer the first time it is started, out of the box.
