We have used HP laser printers and cartridges for more than 20 years. My first one had lasted several years when it stopped working. I had very much gotten my use from it and was about to replace it. I liked it so much that I called HP to see if it could be fixed. Even after using it to print hundreds of thousands of pages and after years of use, HP said it should not have failed 'so soon' and FEDEX-ed me a replacement overnight - FREE. I have had several of these printers since and would highly recommend them. These are quality products from a quality company.

Shipping clerk installed new cartridge on 12/15 and by 01/05 the "toner low" light came on, she shook it for about a week and it finally gave out.

Our office prints around 2000 pages/month (HP claims that it has a 2500 capacity), we should have done some more research on this model because obviously this thing is going to run us in the ground in toner. I would suggest that if you are out on the warranty on the printer check out compatible cartridges because they are much more cost effective. There are several very reputable sites out there now - even some with free freight with no minimum purchase requirements ! :)

      This toner besides being very costly, does not produce the amount of printouts, it is a very fragil toner with a devise that can easily be a problem for the printer itself. I am very diapointed at the cuality specially comming from HP product which I only use.
