Fragile disks, do not bend or drop

Reliability-wise, much better than Memorex (scratch too easily, rendering data unreadable) but not as good as Sony (the best). Do not bend or drop these HP disks as they have a tendency to split (like they are not glued tightly enough together). Good for using as back up of data that is stored on, say, Sony disks. I wouldn't recommend them as the primary storage device. Am worried that disks may fall apart in a few years.

Imagine my dismay when these arrived and I discovered they're RED! What color pen would you use to write on them? How easily definable would anything that's written on them be? We use Avery labels with photos and text on them, which have a white background. The red on the edges looks awful. Why on earth don't they make them in the standard silver or white? And if they want to make them in red, why is that not included in the description, particularly since that's such an unusual color? Even on HP's site, the color's not mentioned. Can't write how they work, as I returned them. What a waste of time!

The printing on the dvds is terrible for writing on, and the there are a lot of brands out there for the same cost that are more reliable and better suited to the home user.

HP DVDs work very well. My only quibble is with the ugly red colour which makes anything written on them with a Sharpie (no matter the colour) hard to read easily. Other than that - good value for money spent

I did not realise until just now that the HP branded DVDs are actually by Khypermedia - a brand that I have had very good success with over the years.
