I had tried to save money by ordering the "generic" replacement cartridges and that was a complete waste of money. The on-line retailer would not take them back when I complained of muddy colors and issues with printing everything except black. HP for me from here on out - not worth the hassle and a waste of money to buy the generics.

Printer is perpetually asking to replace the very expensive cartridges.hp has a racket going to oversell replacment cartridges and has programed the model1510 to continually ask for new cartriges

I have been using this color laserjet for just a few months, and have had to replace the cartridges twice already. I am only getting about 100 copies printed, and most of these do not include graphics, only red and black. Obviously this is not economically feasible for me. I have a home business and need to print color labels for my products. I cannot even do that. Is there a defect with my printer?
It is possible the printer has a defect. If you have not purchased an extended warranty from us, you will need to call HP for technical support and warranty assistance. HP's phone number is (800) 752-0900.
