I like the product a lot and have used it for years. It's easy, reliable and high quality.

The only thing I don't like is the price. How can it be necessary to charge so much for something that small to be profitable? I believe that, if the price was decreased, people would stop buying alternatives and sales would increase proportionately more than the price decrease would decrease profit.

You do have exceptionally high quality products, from printers to computers to ink cartridges.

Yield significantly below HP's estimate

Buying the black and color ink combo-pack will save some money compared to buying individual cartridges, but the page yield is well-below HP's specs. The black cartridge yield is spec'd at 495 pages (@ 5% coverage) and the color cartridge yield is spec'd at 450 pages (@ 15% coverage). My HP printer uses a combination of black and color inks for all printing, even when I select grayscale printing, so it's a bit difficult to predict how many actual pages I should get per cartridge. I think it should be somewhere between 450 and 945 pages, but I never get even 450 pages between the two. Basically, it works out to about 15 cents per page for the ink.There's no explanation for why Staples is specifying up to 600 pages yield for the color cartridge.

Its an easy to use product- not much to rate since this is the only type of ink that works with my printer - but im happy with it. The ink tends to dry out quickly if you do not use it often- so print stuff!
