HP has a reputation of making great products and this cartridge is no exception. It is also said that HP stands for High Prices, and in this case it is worth it.

The cartridge provided excellent text documents on my HP1006 printer for almost 12 months of very frequent use. Because I print much more black and white than color, this printer and cartridge actually cost a lot less than an inkjet printer and cartridge would cost.

I have used HP laser cartridges for over 20 years and have never had a cartridge fail to provide excellent images and text. Highly recommended.

represented as an up to 1500 copies, i got only 650 under normal usage. the cartridge i received with the printer only gave me 300 copies instead the represented 700 copies

HP made great copiers in their LP series that lasted years and great cartridges; some got over 95,000 copies for about $89. The P1006 that uses this cartridge is a rip off. A small, poorly designed machine which uses a cartridge that gets only 1,500 copies for [$]. It's no wonder no one is making a generic of the cartridge.
