I use 6 to 7 cartridges a year. I use the page counter after a cartridge change and I consistently get about 6,000 pages per toner cartridge, so the X is worth the extra money. I try refilled cartridges about every 3 years or so to save money, but there is no comparison. The refilled cartridges are not as clear and sharp, they leak toner onto documents and the inside of the printer. There is nothing like the real thing for quality documents.
