It has been suggested to me to buy a laser printer just for b & w which would be more economical. The number of pages from one color cartridge listed is laughable. I have even returned color cartridges thinking there was a fault in manufacturing and been told no manufacturing fault existed. One can almost buy a new inexpensive printer, which comes with ink cartridges, for the cost of black and color cartridges. Rarely do I spend less than $100 when buying ink and it is quite frequent!
Comments about HP 56/56/57 Black and Tri-color Ink Cartridges (CD944FN), Combo 3/Pack:
I have been using this product for 8 years. Originally for my work as a para pro in public school kindergarten. Work sheets, pictures, invitations, newsletters, you name it we did it! Now retired and still using this ink for whatever need I have with the computer. It has always been great.
Comments about HP 56/56/57 Black and Tri-color Ink Cartridges (CD944FN), Combo 3/Pack:
For our use at a church office, this is a great option. We use a black cartridge every five weeks and the color cartridge every 3 months or so. It is nice to find a combo pack that is heavier on the black ink side of the equation. We still have to buy an occasional black ink cartridge when we already have a color cartridge on hand. I think the ink is overpriced to begin with but at our current rate of use it would take us 5-6 years to recapture our investment on a laserjet printer. The printer won't accept refurbished cartridges which would drastically lower our per page cost, so we go with an HP printer cartridge. It's always good to see a lower cost per cartridge option.
Comments about HP 56/56/57 Black and Tri-color Ink Cartridges (CD944FN), Combo 3/Pack:
Each person has different printing needs and - for the way I use my printer - I use far more black ink than color. I have a software pkg for cards and - despite the expense of color - I have saved more money on birthday cards, etc.
