I calculate it costs [$] to print each black and white page with your black ink cartridge. That's not the half of it. I have not printed even one photo of any color. How do you explain the black photo ink cartridge showing empty just like my regular b/w cartridge. Does that mean that the two inks work in tandem on regular pages? Doubling the cost comes to [$] a page! What a scam! I'm returning this printer & dont plan to purchase another HP printer.

Best Uses Comments about HP 564 Black Ink Cartridge (CB316WN): Just purchased the printer on 11/27/09, and got a "replace ink cartridge" message on 12/06/09. Huh? After one week of average printing volume? Did a printer report, and found that this ink cartridge (that is billed as getting up to 250 pages) got 198 before emptying. Disappointing.

Comments about HP 564 Black Ink Cartridge (CB316WN): This product uses even more ink than my last one and I thought newer generation printers would be better. Its shameful. Even the lasers dont have as much ink in the cart. Its all be reduced I guess... I used to forget about the ink for a long time with the laser printers I have, but now its a total joke. I diagnosis rising costs and greed on HPs part. Either way, I'm furious. To think I bought this rotten printer to scan documents... what a mistake that would be with the ink usage!
