I like the color spectrum of these cartridges. I like the overall quality, but since we have an inkjet printer, alas, the photos smear if they get wet or humid. The ink is very expensive, and of course, there is the problem about the pending lawsuit because the cartridges show the ink level is low well before it actually is. Myself, I never paid attention to the message and just ran the cartridges dry before replacing them. Of course, it helps to get the paper in the pkg to offset the cost of the ink, but one can always get a good deal on photo paper (buy one get one free) by keeping an eye on the ads.

300 pages per cartridge?

I use my printing for personal and volunteer (religious, nonprofit) purposes. The inks DEFINITELY DO NOT LAST ANYWHERE CLOSE TO 300 PAGES!!!

I originally planned on producing photo-quality booklets for a nonprofit banquet and other publishing needs for them.

A small fortune was spent on inks and the special paper only to discover my HP Photosmart Premium Web series – C309 printer is not capable of handling ANY large printing jobs (100 copies/4 pages, full color). It is noisy, slow(!) and the inks were changed 3 times!

I am shopping around 1) for a capable, fast, quiet, top-quality printer, and 2) accurate ink information at some savings.

Sadly, the new printers use this cartridge. Liked the old ones better. For the money there is very little ink in the cartridge. With moderate use, I spent $150 on ink in the first two weeks!

i prefer to use the original replacement cartriges because i have had bad experences with so called refilled ones. the refilled ones wouldnt print or they would smear or give faded colors.
