The price per cartridge for the XL (extra large amount of ink) is "okay" -- but I am not getting anywhere near the 750 advertised pages. I do a lot of photographs and clip art which admittedly uses more ink than the printed word. I get, perhaps, 150 photos (4 x 6 inches) with a set of cartridges. The printer uses 5 different color cartridges (and the black cartridge costs double the color cartridges) -- thus buying all 5 cartridges costs over $100.00 [...] The cartridges produce great images. The cartridge package has been redesigned ... see photo. The new package is on the left.

        This product definitely gives a lot more printing usage than the regular 564. I can't comment on printing quality for photos since I have not printed any. I do a newsletter for an organization with a number of clip arts inserts. The colors print very true and bright.
        Would like to see some package deals - all colors in one package. There is one available for the regular 564 but have not seen one for the XL.
