I have a HP 4600 color printer. This printer has been a dream come true since the day I purchased it. I call it a work horse that prints quality materials. Over the last 2 years, the some of the HP cartridges we have purchased from HP have been inferior and given us many problems. The cartridge I have that is of concern registered only 49% of the toner was left in the cartridge when I first put it into the printer. I have used this cartridge to print copies. Yesterday, when I printed the supplies status page,the report shows the cartridge only has 49% of the toner left. The report also shows I have printed 49 pages with this cartridge and the estimated number of pages remaining that I can print is approximately 39. Today when I printed the supplies status page, the report show the cartridge has 49% of the toner left. The report also shows I have printed 153 pages with this cartridge and the estimated number of pages remaining theat I can print is approximately 167. I remember the days when HP stood for products that were as close to perfect as humanly possible. During the last 2 years, we have had approximately 9 bad cartridges. The decade before the last 2 years . . . 0 bad cartridges. I will say HP has replaced the defective cartridges but it is a nuisance and a hardship to make the time to deal with these issues as frequently as it is happening!

Magenta cartridge life is about 20% of expected useful life. Has been this way since I purchased the printer. Reported to HP, even met with an HP rep at a conference. Nothing has been addressed. Very expensive to keep replacing the cartridge when such a small amount has been used. Freustrating!!!

We have been told HP knows this is a problem but will not stand behind or fix it.
Half of what we print can not be given to a client as there are pink edges & splotches all over the papers.
The last cartridge we bought started leaking before half of it was used.

The cartridges for the HP 4650 color laser jet FREQUENTYLY leak during the last 3/4 of their life producing color streaks and dots on documents. Did get a replacement set once from HP after agonizing months of trying. Stuck with the printer now, so have to put up with very poor quality cartridges from HP. HP should be ashamed to continue to sell these cartridges!
