I haven't needed to replace my printhead yet but I got a great deal on it. The salespeople at the store were helpful, courteous, and really went out of their way to help me. I have had laryngitis for several weeks and they helped my with just a pad a paper that allowed me to communicate with them. I really appreciate the store and the great deals. Thank you!

We have 4 HP printers that take these (expensive) print heads. We've replaced three in the last year and when the fourth one died today, after having just been replaced 3 months ago, I had had it. I called HP and I hadn't realized before that there is a warranty date printed on the print heads. Obviously every one I've paid to replace was still under warranty but I hadn't known and had thrown them away. In any case, they are sending me replacement ones for free. She said the reason for short life span is you MUST leave your printer powered up at all times. It will go into sleep mode but service the heads when needed to prevent clogging and to keep them working. She said that will drastically extend the print head life. Otherwise, she stated that the ink dries and clogs up and ruins the heads if the printer is turned off every night. We will leave all of ours on from now on, since the energy costs I was told would be very negligible. Hope that helps others!

The printer (Officejet 7650) is a piece of junk. I bought a new Officejet 7650 last December and have replaced the original printer two times. Worst printer I ever owned. The printhead cartridge costing [$] needs replacement after about 100 pages of print. Unbeliveable!!DON'T BUY ONE!!

[...]THE HP 7650 IS JUNK! I ONLY PRINT IN BLACK, YET THE COLOR CARTRIGES AND PRINTHEADS NEED REPLACED OFTEN. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR A YEAR AND I HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. MY LAST HP 1170CXI IS STILL WORKING AFTER TWELVE YEARS. HP QUALITY IS NO LONGER THERE. DON'T BUY IT, COSTS MORE TO RUN THAN ANY OTHER PRINTER.

My office jet said the print heads were in poor shape. I replaced the print head and then my machine told me there were problems. The techs could not solve the problem.
