I'm in real estate. I am a heavy user and print a lot - about 1200 pages/month on average. My printer is an HP L7590 with built in duplexing. The ink lasts a long time and prints lots of pages. The printer on the other hand frequently misaligns and causes me to have to reprint way more often than should be acceptable. If I use the ink-efficient fast draft mode, I often have to reprint 25% or more of the pages due to the printer cutting off the tops of the printouts. It's usually fine in normal everyday mode but that takes at least twice as much ink and I don't usually need or want the extra heavy ink coverage. I print showing instructions, property information, color flyers, market assessments, contracts.... I get a lot of pages with the XL cartridges and they never jam up or clog the printer. I've had bad luck in the past when I've tried non-OEM replacements. I wish they were cheaper but I always use new HP OEM cartridges. At my average useage, an 88XL Cyan cartridges lasts me about 4 months. I think that's pretty good. Now if HP would fix the printer I'd be really happy. The L7590 is an older model -- I don't know if the same printing problem persists in newer models.

Smears - can nut use a hi-lighter on it!

You can not print and use a hi-lighter, it smears and leaves black ink hi-lighter tip. When I am not using it for business I would use this to make visual aids for storytelling....Read complete review

You can not print and use a hi-lighter, it smears and leaves black ink hi-lighter tip. When I am not using it for business I would use this to make visual aids for storytelling. I make black outlined pictures and them color them with watercolor pencils or markers. I can NOT use this ink cause the black smears in with colors. I have to use another copier or printer whose ink does not smear. Thank goodness I have access to a 2nd printer and copier. I would not recommend this ink to anyone. I would never buy a product that use the HP88 ink!

Once you own the printer (and it is a good one, the HP 7550 series) you are trapped.

Staples has been a very reliable place for me to purchase the various office supplies that I need for my business. I enjoy having the cartridge by back program but like it better when the reward is higher. I appreciate the fact that even though my office equipment is dated, I can still rely on Staples to have what I need to complete my job without having to consider purchasing new equipment. I enjoy having so many new options for office supplies. There are always plain purchases for everyday needs and colorful decorative items for the fun in life. Thank you STAPLES :)

I make all our greeting cards, birthdays, anniversaries, 100 Christmas cards and other holidays. I recently added wedding and sympathy cards to the list. Last year I made 150 wedding invitations for a friend. The print looked professional. The bride received a lot of compliments on them. The HP88XL does a super job. The color is great and stays bright even near the end of the cartridge. Many of my cards have photos of the people receiving the card and the photos print out very nice looking. I am constantly amazed at how many cards I can do without changing the cartridge. I keep extra 88XL Cartridges on hand so when one is empty, I always have a replacement. It saves time and gas.
