I wish it weren't so expensive, and I wish it didn't need replacement as often as it does. I guess 480 pages goes by quickly; i have never tried to count the pages printed . . . wouldn't that depend on the number of characters of type per page?
Does printing from a computer file use the same amount of ink as copying from the scanner?
Once I had a BAD cartridge. Maybe it was older that its "use by" date. I wasn't aware until afterwards that they dried up with age.

Not enough bang for the buck.

I do a lot of event planning and advertising (posters, signs, graphics with descriptive legends, etc.) I am not reimbursed for this work. I also do a lot of church related printing. (bulletins, directories, financial records and meeting records)which is also not reimbursed.

The things that are great about the cartridges are
1. its ease of use
2. fine, sharp application of the ink to the paper

The things that are not great about the cartridges are:
1. the colors printed are way less bright than what is on my computer screen. Cartridge #95
2. your ad copy at the top of this page indicates that a #94 black cartridge yields up to 450 pages. There is NO WAY I come even close to that number. Maybe I can get 150 pages - that is 2/3 less than your ad specifies. My printer and my computer "page set-up" call for normal quality.
3. Printing jobs I used to do without giving it much thought don't exist. I no longer think the cartridge is a good or fair value. When I purchased this HP printer that called for HP #94 and #95 print cartridges (maybe 2 years
ago), the prices were not great but acceptable by necessity. Prices now are significantly higher and generic inks are not compatible with the HP printer. I have only used HP printers and ink so I cannot make a fair comparison.
