I have the 8500 Pro for 2 months and printed 4 reams of (double-sided) paper; yet have gone through 3 of these inks already! We're a medical billing company so we do a lot of printing. Our Dell laser printers were great because of how fast they could do a print request & the amount of pages it could print, about 3000. But when it was time to replace the toner it was expensive [$]& when it was time to replace the drum it cost about [$] Recently when it was time to replace the drums on 3 of our Dells I replaced them with the HP printers that use this ink. Thinking that I would be saving money on toner/ink & not having to replace a drum. Well it hasn't turned out that way. I only get about 1000 pages or less & we don't even use the color ink but the machines still slowly use it up, which is crazy.
