Buying gold is a better deal

I am an author/writer. I use this product when printing out manuscripts, forms, and a newsletter for a non-profit organization I belong to. The color is blue and that's the only good thing I can think of. It's an ink tank as opposed to a refillable ink cartridge. Considering how much ink is in this tank and the price involved there must be pure gold in it though I have never found any. You would do better purchasing a printer that does not require such an expensive ink.

Terrible life of cartridge. We were told to expect a lot of copies from the HP Officejet Pro 8500....We do very few copies and almost NEVER in color and we replace a cartridge every couple of weeks. My old Brother Printer did 2 or 3 times the copies. while the quality of the HP is good, it's not worth the ink.

  Sure, look in the Staples site and it will show you what to use with what printer. I believe that there are cartridges which offer 2200 copies as well as a smaller number for black ink choices.
  This has been true with my earlier printers and it just depends on your usage of ink whether you are better off with the larger or smaller. I go through ink very quickly so I go for the largest but a slower user of ink might want to be more thrifty. Some business users might get the large cartridge in black but small in colors if most prints are all text with few pictures. This is a long response for a small but important issue.
  It is significant to enjoy the fact that you will not be plagued by frequently replacing ink cartridges and annoying stoppages during printing now that you have made the investment in a great printer.
