The HP Officejet Pro 8500 that this cartridge goes in is the best printer I have ever used. One of the reasons is that the ink cartridges last a long, long time. Also, the printer warns you when you are out of a certain cartrige and it is easy then to go to Staples and get a replacement. I use this printer every day for business and also some personal printing. I print a newsletter and the colors are absolutely wonderful. I also print cards and photos, and love the fact that this is a pigment ink, which means I can use it on a number of substrates without worrying that the ink will fade. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a great printer with great ink! Also, as a Staples Premier Rewards Customer I save a lot of money when I buy the ink cartridges and any other products I need from Staples. [...]

The HP office jet Pro 8000 wireless that uses this ink needs to print faster, it's very slow to get the print job done. We're a medical billing company so we do a lot of printing. Our Dell laser printers were great because of how fast they could do a print request & the amount of pages it could print, about 3000. But when it was time to replace the toner it was expensive [$] & when it was time to replace the drum [$] Recently when it was time to replace the drums on 3 of our Dells I replaced them with the HP printers that use this ink. Thinking that I would be saving money on toner/ink & not having to replace a drum. Well it hasn't turned out that way. I only get about 1000 pages or less & we don't even use the color ink but the machines still slowly use it up, which is crazy. So as of right now I feel I didn't get a great deal because I'm now using about 2 black toners per machine a month [$] & every few months the color as to be replaced too

  HP 8500, in regular or XL [amount of ink] capacity, will fit
  into its same size printer slot, clearly marked for its color.
  A Black cartridge goes to its slot marked Black, etc., and you're quickly 'up and running'.
