I purchased all 3 color cartridges because my printer said they were low. I found the override setting on the printer and thought I would see how much ink is left. To date I have still not replaced the old ones and I have printed 1600 yes 1600 pages since the printer told me to replace. Now most of what I print is black and white with small color thumbnails on the page. I print about 25 pages a week that are full color. So I suggest using the override setting a few hundred at a time to see where your limit is. So far, mine is showing no signs of color drain.
