It's a littler larger than anticipated. Because it is turned off when not in use, it takes a little longer to warm up. The colors are vibrant and the black print is crisp. The toner cartridges are a bit pricy but will outlast the ink jet.

i've networked it into my home network and can print from any of three computers in the house. it prints documents great, but i am still working printing pictures. they come out smudged on the edges.
i have printed 900 sheets through this printer and my ink usage has been negligible. this was the driving force for this purchase, and the netwrok capability.

Reliablity is what I needed. After owning a Samsung 3160FN and having numerous issues over 2 years I finally gave up. This HP model had good reviews, not great but good. So far it has impressed me, no paper pick-up issues, color printing is better than the Samsung and it's much quieter and uses less energy.

This printer has been a disappointment to us. We previously owned the hp4550 and loved it. The drum needed to be replaced and we opted to get this printer instead of putting more money into the 4550. We owned the 4550 for about 6 years and replaced the toner cartridges twice. We have had this printer for about 18 months and are on out 2nd black toner and we are actually printing less. The quality of the printing is very good, but the cost of changing out the toner has been phenominal
