I bought this product to replace a printer and flatbed scanner (two separate items). I wanted an automatic document feeder, so I picked this one. I don't understand why the 50-sheet feeder can't scan 50 pages. I was told that it scans to internal memory then transfers to the computer. It really should scan directly to the computer. Overall, though, not a bad machine.

This may have been the absolute WORST HP experience that I've ever had. This MFP promises the moon, but can't quite deliver (at least not without a boost).IF you are buying it because you will be able to scan to e-mail, unless you have control of your e-mail server and can disable authentication, maybe OK. If you are the likely SOHO user that has an e-mail host (which most-likely requires authentication to prevent SPAM), forget about it. Won't work. Maybe HP will do some research next time they upgrade the firmware and enable settings for e-mail authentication; until then you're out of luck.IF you are plannning to scan to computer folder locations that are on a Windows Server 2003, be prepared to jump through hoops. Support was miserable on this machine. ONE person at HP finally knew about this machine right off the bat without transferring me 5 or 100 times. Apparently, this is a "Commercial Model" and support is only available Monday-Friday. For a machine that advertises compatibility with Win Server 2k3, it really isn't. Features required to set a location on the server for scanning directly from the machine aren't installable (namely the HP Toolbox). It took me a lot of trying to get it going (see my workaround at [@]).If you just need a color copier, fax, scanner at a reasonable price that will work with XP, you're probably OK.

Comments about HP® Color LaserJet CM2320nf Multifunction Printer:
Print quality is great, but it's not economical for heavier users. We use about a case of paper a week on this machine, which may be heavier than most users, but by no means are we running a printing press... Using 1 case of paper we go through about 3-4 ink toners per week in the process and at $100 each it is really expensive. We have reassigned this machine to a lower print volume area of our company. Also, about 3-4 times per day it has to clean and calibrate, and it takes about 5-10 minutes each time. Changing printer cartriges takes about 15 minutes after it tests, calibrates, cleans, etc. Scanning software and quality is great. Fax is great.

Nice sharp printing & faxing. This printer becomes very unreliable after 6 months of usage. i have had two machines and start having problems at 6 months & 14,000 copies later. windows 7 has issues with this printer too. printer spooling will stall & shutdown the program that you were using to create the document Once you upgrade the firmware to windows 7 you will lose the ability to scan consistantly. HP could provide better support for windows 7 on this machine would be a plus.
