Called HP customer service before my purchase. They told me the extra tray would take legal size paper. When I got the printer and tray, found out that the tray only takes letter size. HP needs to get their act together. I would had returned the printer if not for how good it was.

I had a HP 2300 and an older Xerox color laser. The color laser was a larger machine and the HP was still working perfectly after many, many years of use. I decided to replace both with one printer, basically to make room on my desk. We have a small business and I print checks and reports on a regular basis. I absolutely love this printer! It's fast and prints beautifully, nor is it extremely large. It's the perfect fit for me and my purposes. I can't believe how extremely happy I am with this printer!

This printer is great, my only negative response it that it's a little too loud compared to my old printer and it prints faster, but takes longer to begin the print job. It is also very heavy. The quality of the printing is amazing and it was very easy to intall.

  While you can use the HP Color Laserjet M451nw Printer to print on picture stock (photo paper) it is not recommended for the best results. You can only get photographic quality using an inkjet printer.
