I bought this printer to replace an older HP Printer that I have had for years only because I wanted to have a wireless printer. What a mistake. Very flimsy construction and noisy. Is slow to print on the wireless option so connected via USB to my laptop for faster printing. It was easy to setup , but I immediately received a message that I had a recycled HP cartridge installed. I used the printer for approximately 1 month (light use) when it started to jam. The paper was not feeding properly. Bad roller. I did online troubleshooting, then called customer service. I then spent over an hour on customer service trouble shooting (very painful)for them to come to the same conclusion - ah bad roller. I needed a new printer. To make a really long story short, I was eventually shipped a reconditioned printer, that was BROKEN!!! I am now being overnighted another reconditioned printer, they promised to check it out before shipping again. I have now been without a printer for 10 days..very aggravated with customer service and very disappointed with the product quality. Spend the money and buy a better model!!!
Comments about HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer:
My husband and I are full-time RVers, living and travelling in 400-square feet. We wanted a printer we could travel with, store easily, and operate wirelessly. We have several other HP products (including laptops and another printer) and were sold on this one with some basic checking.
True to its advertising, we were able to set it up fairly quickly -- but here's the thing: it's glitchy (or it has some secret printer handshake we haven't figured out yet). Though we set all of our defaults to the "network" option, it still wants to run via USB so every time we start it we have to choose a "restore defaults" option... it took us several hours and re-starts to figure this out by trial and error... no fun on this learning curve.
Having said that, once we get it going, it's fabulous and suits our needs. Just wish the instructions/set-up were more clear.

Q:
Is this product compatible with Windows NT? I have both an XP and an NT computer, both networked together. My current HP printer is connected to the NT computer. Also, are all necessary cables, etc., included in the box, or do I need to buy an extra cable?
HP does not provide Windows NT drivers for this printer, so presumably in your setup all printing, scanning, etc. would need to be done from the Windows XP machine. The retail package does include the power cord and a USB cable.

Q:
what is the differance between the hp3050a and the hp3052a the 3052a says it can air print what is air print
Asked on 4/1/2012 by jim computer challenged from cato ny
The HP Deskjet 3052A e-All-in-One Printer is no longer available and has been discontinued by HP. The HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer is the newer version of the 3052A printer.
AirPrint allows you to print directly from a device that has an AirPrint application, such as an iPhone.

A:
Air print means that the printer can connect via your wi-fi network to print from other computers or devices such as your iphone, that are connected to the wi-fi network in your home. Both the hp 3050a and hp 3052a have this feature. The main difference that I see between the hp 3050a and the hp 3052a is that the hp 3052a has much faster print speeds, b/w to 20 ppm and color up to 16 ppm. I hope this helps you!

when i scan a multipage document, do all pages result in 1 electronic document? i currently have a multipurpose that creates a separate document for each page which is not useful.
The maxium paper size is up to 8.5 x 11.7 in. It would separate the document. If you would like to place an order, please call us at 800-333-3330. You also have the option to order online.
