It was an oversized 4x6 which had a strange tabbed border. The tab made it so that the picture could not fit in a regular 4x6 photo album. I had to cut the border off of 100 photos in order to fit all my pictures in a regular 4x6 photo album. I purchased this paper because it was on sale and I had a lot of pictures to print off. I will not purchase this again and I will go back to using Kodak 4x6 paper.

The photo paper box makes it look like there is a mark on the photo to follow to cut,but there is no guideline.

  HP Everyday Photo Paper, (4" x 6", Gloss,100/Pack) does have the extended tab, but is it not perforated. You need to use scissors to cut it off.

- A:
  Some HP printers cannot print the last 1/4 inch of a page. I would assume this is why the extra 1/4 inch. I know on some of their older papers there was a perforation to remove that 1/4 inch after printing. It was a very fine perforation, not noticeable unless you were looking for it, and the paper was not marked for which end to feed in first. Recently I found reason to use up some older 4"x6" HP photo paper. It wasn't until after I had printed on it that I remembered the perforation. That was, of course, after I had printed right over the perforation on a bunch of pages. I find both kinds very annoying, but if I have to pick between the two, I prefer this paper because you can't loose a bunch of photos by accidentally printing over the perforation.

  Yes, as per HP this paper should be compatible to use on your printer.
  For the best print quality on your HP All-in-One (PSC) 1315 series printer, use HP papers.
  Please note that paper that is too thin, paper that has a slick texture or paper that stretches easily can cause paper jams.
  Also note that paper that has a heavy texture or does not accept ink can cause printed images to smear, bleed, or not be filled in completely.

  If you have a good inkjet color printer, any digital camera picture you can store on your computer should work with this paper. It helps if your picture software on your computer is capable of enhancing the original picture! I always use my software to make the picture as pleasing as possible, ie, increasing sharpness, color saturation, and contrast. Not all pix need a lot of enhancing, but it definitely helps the final printed image!
