I bought this printer to replace my old HP 1012. The 1012 had more metal in it and had a sturdier build. There was nothing wrong with the old printer. My new computer said that it was incompatible with it. Is there collusion between these tech companies to increase sales or what? Anyhow, the new printer is OK.It was super easy to set up as my new computer recognized it and practically did the whole set up without me doing hardly anything. No major problems so far. It is noisier than the 1012 and is smaller and lighter. I use it for printing documents for college and other light personal use.

For a little over $100 this is a little fire cracker of a printer. I haven't had it long enough to rate reliability, but so far it has exceeded expectations. In my work situation, I have to set it up and take it down every day that I use it. Very easy. Page come out fast and extremely sharp and clear. AND it has an separate slot to print envelopes. Cartridges are a little steep, but are rated at over 2000 pages per, so it is all relative. I am Very Satisfied!

I have an older HP laserjet that I have had for 8 years that is still working, but needed a new toner cartridge for $80. I bought this new model on sale and a discount coupon for [$]. It just made sense to upgrade to new technology since I am running windows 7 on everything. I just needed a good dependable laser printer for everyday use.

I use this printer at work and home. Easy to use and compact. Have never had a problem using this printer. May take a while to warm up for the first print job but after that it prints quickly.

Purchased for single user in business setting. Nice to have network options in a inexpensive printer. Too bad HP has a different toner cartridge for each new printer model. We would rather buy cartridges in bulk that fit all the individual HP printers of this type. HP is our most frequently purchased brand.
