The lack of a manual feed tray for envelopes is definitely a minus. But, the print quality, speed and ease of installation easily make up for it. This printer is solid! No flimsy feeder tray here. This printer is a true joy to use and own and a perfect replacement for anyone who has grown sick and tired of clogged ink jet head.

I was skeptical as to how it might print photos. I can only say that it surpassed my expectations in swift leaps. In my tests, print quality matched that of color laser printers in the office that retail at well over 10 times the price.

I printed the exact same series of photos on this printer using standard copy/printer paper that I had printed on an HP Photosmart Premium C410 inkjet printer using premium glossy paper. In some cases (particularly in bright photos), I actually PREFERRED the color rendering of this printer! Blue skies come out brilliantly.

One downside: This printer is so fast and so much fun to use that you WILL find everyone in your house or office using it often. Although even the installed partial cartridges seem to last forever, you will definitely need to buy more paper.

My 6 year old HP 2727 finally died and went to Staples to replace. The only thing that looked close was not unpacked so couldn't touch or see it operate. Bad mistake. It does not have big enough paper tray-and it is flimsy, no front paper feeder, (looked like it on the box),lid will not stay up on its own, so slow and copy print quality from glass is poor. Just received it replacement HP PRO 300 and so far loving it!

I bought this printer because it did everything. All it does is print. It would not read the usb or pick up a fax automatically. My office mates bought the same printer and had the same problems except that they could not fax at all. Good thing I bought the protection plan because there were no remplacements (isn't that telling!) and they returned my money.

This is my 8th HP over many years.

I love this printer. Easy to set up and use. Just wish a user's manual was included and I didn't have to download it from the web.

I was initially reluctant to purchase an HP printer given my previous experiences. However, with the advanced features for a laser printer at this price point, I could not resist. I am extremely happy with this product. It does everything it is advertised to do, and does it well. For the price, you cannot beat this printer. The only drawback I have found, is the cumbersome and timeconsuming process required to print envelopes.

I have had this machine for about 2 weeks. Staples advised starter cartridge would yield about 500 copiesfor each color. Turns out it yielded only 150 to 200 (depending on color used). So now I already have to pay an exorbitant amount for new color cartridges. Also, jams constantly when you copy legal size documents. There is no jam - machine indicates a jam, you re-insert the paper and it has to initialize all over again. Must hand feed one at a time. It is a pain in the neck. Otherwise, colors and print and speed are wonderful. I am calling HP to see what's up with the jam issue. Have not scanned yet, but my last HP would not allow me to scan from the printer. Not sure if HP is that great of a manufacturer there seems to be one issue or another with every different machine I have purchased.
