We are from New Jersey, and our old computer got zapped during Hurricane Sandy. We were not ready to purchase a new computer in November, a month before Christmas. We had not shopped for a computer in many years. Our last computer ran windows XP. We have four children, ages 7, 9, 11, and 13. The older children needed an upgrade soon anyway. We were surprised that such a compact system could replace our old tower, speakers, and monitor. For the first time ever, our family has cutting edge technology. We are very happy with our HP Pavilion all in one, and have already bragged about it to our friends.

I bought this computer and like it but I hate windows 8. There is no instruction manual so you really don't know how to do anything. I would have really appreciated a manual telling you how to do things. Simple things such as minimizing the page. using view source so I can update my website, finding my programs, documents, shutting down the computer, basically everything are pretty well hidden. You need to include a windows 8 manual with every purchase that has that operating system since it is so drastically different from all the other windows operating systems. I am much too busy to have the time to try and research how to use it, The new computer sits there while I am still using my laptop for ease of use. I bought my daughter a new computer also that has Windows 8 and she says she doesn't have the time to learn to use it. Shame on Microsoft.

        Windows 8 I got with this. Got the full version Windows8 pro pack. Didn't get to really play with it yet. I did sign up my full version. Windows 8 is definitely different from Windows 7, but I got used to it. I don't know which one I would rather have. 7 or 8. As far as my computer itself? I love the way it is so light in weight versus my eMac. The iMac is also heavier than this HP Pavillion. That's why I bought the HP Pavillion All in One computer. Takes up less room.

              I read the reviews about this computer online before I purchased it. I knew I wanted the computer but was a little concerned about the cons. Nevertheless, I wanted this computer because I did not want to deal with the traditional monitor and CPU tower. Needless to say this particular model was on sale, so I had to get it.

              This is my 3rd computer that I have purchased in my lifetime and I must say this was the best purchase that I have ever made. I love the sleek design, very modern. I absolutely love the easy set up, just plug in and turn on the power. No extra wires that needed to be connected! I have read some negative reviews about Windows 8 saying that it was difficult to figure out. For a computer person like myself, it was not that difficult. In fact I love Windows 8. It is fantastic. The speed of the computer is absolutely amazing, super fast.

              HP makes some great computers and I believe this is the best one they have made. I highly and strongly recommend purchasing this computer. You will not be disappointed, I know I am not!!!

              Windows 8 was a little difficult to get used to. After a couple of weeks, it is getting much easier to find what I'm looking for. Several features are hidden off-screen that were visible on Windows 7 screen. I really like the all-in-one setup. Works great.
