This monitor far exceeds my expectations. It is the finest monitor I have seen or read about. There are zero negatives from my perspective. HD Movies just burst onto the screen.

I've been using a 21" 4:3 monitor provided by my job. After 5 years of that, I decided to splurge a little on something that would improve my work area. I work with code and log files 12 hrs a day so I wanted the best monitor I could get for my money. I couldn't bring myself to put down so much cash on a 1400dpi monitor but I found this one (HP 27xi) and wow! IMPRESSIVE! The display is so nice and bright, yet, not garrishly so. I was very concerned, when I ordered, about the 1080p resolution on such a large display but as soon as I fired the monitor up, I immediately knew my fears were completely unfounded. The images and text are VERY clear! The color spread gives me nice, even white and darks all across the full area of the screen. No pixellation or ghosting (I do, and look at lots of fast scrolling throughout my day). This is a very clear monitor!!! I also find the display design very pleasing. Simple and classy on my desk next to my other monitors. While it doesn't have the usb ports I don't really mind since there are usb hubs for that sort of thing, but it would have been a nice touch. For that reason, I only gave 4 out of 5 for features. Other than that, I couldn't be happier. For me, the only downside to getting this display is that now I have to get another to match performance and aesthetics for my second monitor! Thanks HP!!! The shipping for this was extremely quick, IMO. Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday. You should get yourself one of these and you'll be thanking HP, too!

I purchased this monitor as part of a new computer package. Unfortunately the computer failed. Based on the five days I used the monitor it appears to be very good. The colors are bright, lines and edges crisp and clear, and it is large enough to allow detailed photography work; which is why I bought it. The one problem I see with this beautiful glass panel is glare. Because it is a glass, screen glare and reflections can interfere with the view depending on lighting and surroundings. Other than the glare/reflection annoyance, this backlit LED monitor is attractive and truly a good value.
