My son's 17" Dell crashed it after 3 years of use very disappointed, will never buy Dell again and we found this one on sale at Staple. He loves everything about this laptop; said Windows 8 is little challenging in beginning but once you get hang on it you would love it. Skype is preinstalled; he loves that he could watch video on YouTube and browse web at the same time on same screen. He could not download certain games on his old i5 Dell laptop but he downloaded same games on this i3 laptop and plays on bright 17" big screen. This is THE BEST DEAL; I looked every place for same laptop, THANK YOU Staples. We are very pleased with our purchased and looking for same sale again so I could buy one more for me.

I would not purchase this computer. It fell apart easily and did not do what I wanted it to, which is to have the DVD drive work and not mess up the computer. I had to replace the computer two times before I finally just returned it. I was on the phone and internet chat with HP a LOT and not a whole lot was getting resolved. The first computer crashed when I used the DVD drive, the second computer never registered the DVD's and the CD's that I would put in it so it would ask me if I wanted to format these items. The third computer never allowed the computer, the control panel or pretty much anything else for that matter to be typed into the search charm and actually come up. I got a whole lot of nothing.

It took 2+ weeks to get it set up. Instructions were not clear - and hard to find. After paying so much I thought it would be more "user friendly". Still trying to find all the features!
I am using this for BOTH personal and business use and will see this as a problem for my work tasks. It looks nice - maybe when I hire a Geek to show me how to use it, it will be fine. Until then I am sorry I spent the money.

I have an HP desktop with Windows 7 that my wife uses. The HP Pavillian I replaced had Windows Vista. I'm glad I can use the desktop because I am finding that changing Windows 7 to 8 is like trying to change English to a foreign language.
