        Bought computer to replace a computer that had stopped working and was too old to be worth fixing. Although we have had the computer less than a month, it's speed is adequate enough for our basic uses. The only con is that it comes with Windows 8, which is not a very easy desktop to get used to. However, that is not the fault of HP. For those on a tight budget with basic computer needs, this PC is worth the cost

          This is a great computer for my needs. It is fast and very crisp. I would recommend it to all my friends and especially to computer smart people. It is very easy to install. It is very easy clean.I really like the color black and shinny. I use my computer for all my school homework and for my finance. I also spend lots of my time watching movies and videos on my new computer. The pics are awesome. It runs very fast and clear.The picture resolution is very clear and crisp. !!! I also use my computer with a copy machine and have had no problems when using them together. Thank you so much for making this great computer for people like me.

            Hard to tell at this point whether it is the computer or the operating system. I am not that impressed with Windows 8. I continue to have crashes with this system. Thus far, they have all been recoverable and the computer still works enough for the purposes that it was intended. I am hoping that I will be able to figure out some fixes with this system so that it does not crash any more. I am thinking that the computer could use more RAM since it seems to run slower than a year old computer that is running Windows 7 in our office.

            Old lady trying to learn new stuff....use to Windows 7. Not given a full explanation of how this Windows operates compare to Window 7. This one has a lot of hidden(?) things in it, it seems. Is there an instruction book??? I will be using this for business/web-site set-up and for personal use too. Lets hope it gets better as time goes along.

              A stripped-down model. The whole thing runs on a little chintzy, plug-in power supply. It's too large to fit well on my desk and an inch too tall to fit under it.

              No PS/2 or serial ports. I had to buy an adapter to run my Laserjet printer and even then it wouldn't work.

              It comes with Windows 8. I've never seen an operating system so user unfriendly. Everything is hidden, especially the control panel. The screen freezes when you look at a PDF file and goes black from time to time when it loads a new page. I still don't know how to shut it down without pushing the off button.

              It doesn't come with a Windows 8 restore disk, which I'm sure I'll need once I fry the OS.

              I got a $75 rebate when I bought this machine, but I don't care. It's going back and I'll buy a refurbished one that uses Windows 7. I'm also selling my Microsoft stock.

                  This is one of the least expandable computers you can buy. The Mini-ITX APXD1-DM motherboard has two SATA (no IDE) sockets and the AMD processor is soldered to the motherboard. There are NO card expansion slots on the motherboard and it has a 65 watt external power supply. You can't expand number of hard drives or disc burners, you can only replace them. The 4gb RAM is expandable to 8gb PC3-12800 MB/sec (runs at PC3-10600 in this system).

                  I don't know what connectors your samsung tv has or how old it is but you should be able to connect with either a VGA cable or a DVI cable. If you can't connect directly to your tv with either of these, there are adapter cables which could convert it to the right format such RCA connectors.
