Very pleased with product!! Personnel who came to our home to set up the unit and our current printer did a good job!!! My wife and I are getting used to the new WINDOWS "8" program vs. the old WINDOWS XP on our previous computer.
We plan to sign-up for the WINDOWS "8" class offered at STAPLES. Only disappointment we had was that old info was NOT able to be retrieved from our old computer(s). Otherwise very pleased with the new HP product AND with the help received from all STAPLES employees!! ALSO pleased that we were able to retain our old printer by purchasing a new cable(cord)adaptor!!
Would recommend STAPLES to both friends and relatives for computer purchases!!!!

I purchased this PC at a great price to replace a 5 year old Compaq I purchased at Staples. I love Staples and the sales reps were very good.I have owned four HP or Compaq desktops and three HP Laptops. All have given me great service. This one is being returned after one day. After hooking up an HP printer, I tried to print a document, but before I downloaded the driver. NORTON ADVISED THAT THE CPU was maxed out, and the system shut down for 45 minutes. I then downloaded the driver. The next morning I listened to an HP internet radio station, pre-installed on the HP app section, and again Norton advised that the CPU was maxed out. I checked and it was at 100%, and the only other function opened was one tab on explorer, but not in use. I understand the price was right..CHEAP in fact. BUT a processor needs to be better than the 5 year old Athlon 32 bit on my old Compaq. This HP is being returned in the AM!

          Purchased this pc for business use, simply to run quickbooks and have access to my email. After getting everything hooked up, troubleshooting, then an hour long phone call - it was confirmed that my pc had left the warehouse without an operating system installed. They sent out recovery discs which were supposed to be easy to install. After another hour long tech call to HP they were able to walk me through the installation. This process was not simply inserting the discs and letting it run as I was promised. The system then took three hours to load. Not happy that I went days without this desktop which is BRAND NEW!
