    Can I add an internal HDD and use RAID?

    • A:

      You can do a software RAID 0 with this configuration. RAID 0 is disk mirroring. Essentially your second hard drive would be an exact duplicate of your first hard drive. This computer doesn't come with a hardware raid setup. Look up "Windows 8 RAID 0" and you will find plenty of guidance on how to achieve a RAID 0 with this computer.

      You cannot have two internal DVD drives in this case as it only provides on 5.25" bay. You could add an external DVD drive if you like. This HP Pavilion provides four USB 3.0 ports so speed should be no problem.

      This model is Windows 8 only. If you want Windows 7, you need to buy a copy of Windows 7 and install it in place of Windows 8. However, you would need to ensure that there are Windows 7 drivers available for the PC.

      *Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.
      •Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards
      •Either integrated graphics or the PCI Express x16 slot are usable at one time; they are not usable concurrently
      •DVI and VGA ports (Can be used at the same time)
      The integrated graphics differ by processor
