After my HP6500 had a paper jam and the spray head was damaged, it was a complete loss after having it only about a year and paying $160. Not only didn't it last, but I had constant problems with it loading my photos to my computer, and the photo quality was less than adequate, plus the printer itself was huge. This set me in a "NO more HP mode" when I began my search. I quickly learned that Staples had, by far, the best selection of printers, which gave me the opportunity to compare and even print out sample pictures on different printers. My goal was to get an All-in-One that could perform photo duties in addition to my normal printing jobs AND not take up twice the space allocated for it. The 'size issue' eliminated several that I had considered due to their online ratings ... one being the huge Epson Artisan. After a week of looking at different printers, I went back to Staples and to my surprise they had just put a new HP on display. Loved the looks of it right away, compared quality of photos and decided to try it. This printer has made me so happy! Not only does it print quality photos, but it copies, prints, scans and gives me a little hidden card reader to transfer photos to the computer. The sleek size is so perfect - it enhances your desktop and has a flat top so you can display your desk calendar on it - or your favorite photo (until you need to scan or copy). Setting up wireless was a breeze on all 3 computers. (had to call for instructions on trans photos to computer...easy fix but not included in user info) My (2) cons didn't affect my printer usage. I LOVE this printer and it also fit into my "throw away price" criteria. I paid [$], but it's $20 off right now (Nov '11) and that's a deal! I did pay for an extra 2 yr warranty for a very small fee. Try the HP Photosmart 5510, you won't be sorry.

I got great deal from Staples buying 2 of these on sale and then more $$'s off when recycled 2 printers so basically got 2 for price of 1. Needed 2 b/c I work from 2 locations. . . and had BIG issues getting 2 models of HP All In One's to work on my HP Laptop (great compatibility, huh?)

Thought that having 2 (TWO) of the same model would help! Maybe a little. I don't have to uninstall the whole thing each time I travel - just have to "add" the new printer (AGAIN) each time, so have to keep the disc on hand all the time. Also, can't have both installed as wireless. So, I just don't bother and use both as plug ins - too much trouble un-installing and reinstalling each time. You'd think in the 21st Century, HP might have anticipated that people might work from 2 different small or home offices and that they'd allow for their computers to handle a couple of their products. But NO! Not even 2 serial #'s of the same SKU! UGH, ARRRGGGHHHH! Boooo! HISSSS!

In a nutshell, the printer itself is fine, but there is a fundamental systemic problem if you need TWO printers!

We added this printer to our entertainment system console to print documents from our laptop that we have stationed there, utilizing it's wifi feature. We couldn't be more pleased at the convenience of all this working together, plus it's compact size fits great and is a good match with our audio equipment.

I am glad that I purchased this all-in-one printer. HP makes great products and the setup is always hassle free. I did have one minor issue early on with the way the paper was pulled from the paper tray - the alignment was slightly off on the top when a document was printed. I actually tooled around a bit and printing is fine now...

  not required...you will have to select the new printer as your default. you should uninstall if you plan on never using again. some people have more than one printer. if the 1500 is wifi one, then yes...if not, then its up to you.
