    I have only had this printer a month but so far I am impressed. It only takes 3 color cartridges and print outs very nice photos with people in it, nice enough to frame. The start up time is extremely fast and setup was a snap, this is a vast improvement over my faulty Canon printer that was fairly new and is now garbage due to B200 errors. So far I love this HP printer. I also love the fact that it is an eprinter so that I can email it anything and the print will be waiting for me at home! Bonus!!

    Good Prints - Lack of Information

    I like my new HP Photosmart 6520 all-in-one printer, but I have not been able to find enough information to use it for anything except printing letters on 8.5"x11" paper...Read complete review

    I like my new HP Photosmart 6520 all-in-one printer, but I have not been able to find enough information to use it for anything except printing letters on 8.5"x11" paper and 4"x6" or 5"x7" photos. I like to print labels on smaller than letter-size paper, notes to family and friends on smaller paper or note cards, and address envelopes. So far, the only information I have been able to find is that paper needs to be at least 4.9" long. The printing I have been able to do on my new printer has been very clean and crisp both in black & white and color. My bottom line says I would recommend this to a friend. I would like to qualify that by saying, "only if the friend is a real techie".

      I previously bought an hp All-in-One printer for my personal use. I primarily use it for only the most fundamental tasks--printing documents, mailing labels, coupons, photos and the like. The previous model broke down after only one year and 3 months! For that reason, I cannot give the hp printers five stars. This time, I've purchased the extended warranty. Hewlitt-Packard has a good reputation, so I'm assuming that they will abide by the terms of the warranty should this item malfunction. I don't need or use all the bells-and-whistles, so really can't comment on various "advanced" features.

        Still new, haven't had to replace ink yet. love the 2 sided feature. My photos have come out perfect, especially like doing them on 4x6 paper.
        Don't like replacing paper, not the best setup. I have recommended this to a friend already and she is happy with hers.

        Having a tough time with the photo to print??? Card seems to be tough to set up and to print select photos. Would like instructions on displaying my photo card into the slot and then printing of the select photos. Have not yet replaced the ink cartarges so don't really know how much ink is saved with this new system???? Have lots of leftover ink cartarges from last printer and never been used. don't have receipt but would like to get credit for them - - is this possible? Can you check on my rewards card as I buy all my supplies from Staples Grove city Ohio. Thanks, L Lewis

          I currently have an HP C6300 and I have loved it! But the print head is dead.

          Thinking of getting Photosmart 6520 but have a question about the ink. I know it uses the same ink as my current printer (the 564 series) In the C6300, there are five slots for ink cartridges: black, cyan, yellow, magenta and PHOTO black. You just load them side by side and click them into place. Is this 5 cartridge system also in this new printer? How many cartridge slots are there and what colors do you put in there? Seems to me I don't see any mention of a PHOTO black cartridge with this 6520 printer. Also..... is this an easy setup?

            There is a retractable output tray extender located about the paper bin. Look directly beneath control console for a small recess on top of the paper tray. Place your fingers in the recess and gently pull. This tray extender is intended to catch the printed pages and should fully extended when you are printing.
