HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer

Setup was easy. There isn't a real manual, you follow the steps on the LCD screen, even for attaching it to the wireless network, but it worked fine.

To access the printer, we had to first use the install disk that came with it on each computer on the network. Trying to use the Windows "Add A Printer" process wouldn't work. The upside is that the HP control panel that gets installed for this printer is great and easy to use.

Photos are super! Documents printed on copier paper are crisp and any color illustrations are the best I have seen on regular paper. Automatic two sided printing is a little slow as each page has to dry a few seconds before being pulled back in to be printed on the reverse side.

The only downside is the time it takes to start printing over our wireless network. It seems to take longer than other printers to set up the pages and start printing the first page. However, once printing starts, it's fast. (I haven't tried it using an ethernet cable or a USB cable so the slowness may just be our wireless network, and this is the only wireless printer we have so I can't compare it to other wireless printers on our network.)

Can't beat this HP printer. I am HP Printer loyal, and this new one with a touch screen is the way to go. Was really concerned in hooking it up wirelessly with my existing router as it has a wired desktop and printer, and a wireless laptop. (For my own personal background, it took me all afternoon to try to check router blogs, Q&A, etc. to no avail.) So I dove in, took it out of the box, and this baby was connected within minutes. I didn't need to waste my time trying to avoid glitches if I came across any, there weren't any. It found my existing router, asked my for passphrase, entered it on the touchscreen (again, its so cool), and bingo. No more turning on desktop to print to that printer from my wireless laptop. I copied, I ran 4x6 photos and scanned both photos and documents. Much faster and easier to use than my 5 year old HP printer, and that's easy enough. If anything it's a tad louder than I expected, but hey, for [$] on sale, I am NOT complaining. It's not as loud as a real cheap printer my husband has, though. Hoping the toner usage is decent. And, not too impressed with the photos a shade darker than on the screen, but I override that and brighten the photo. By the way, I didn't call customer service, nor read any help or nor investigate any online support for this printer, that's how easy it is, so perhaps brightening photos to match the screen is listed there. Oh, and the paper trays are awesome! One for 8-1/2 x 11, another to hold envelopes or photo paper. Both hold a decent supply, no more taking out large paper, changing paper guides, and printing one photo at a time. I'm impressed.LOVE the printer. I am only using it for less than a week, and am really, really, really impressed. Great quality and very economical overall price. Yes, I highly recommend this printer.

The product are wonderful to use. It is so easy to set up and use it. From the day one, I have been using almost everyday without any single problem.

I am extremely happy with my new HP Photosmart. The photos are store quality, the one touch copier and scanner are great. The only problem is my flash card wont fit it's slots, but I use a usb cable or upload from my computer and no problem. Super fast printing and I don't have to worry about not being able to print text if my colors run out. I will never buy an Epson or Dell if HP keeps up this quality and ease of use.
