A couple of months ago I made the mistake of buying a Staples brand of "re-manufactured" alternative for this toner cartridge.[...] That was a BIG mistake. I started getting a very "dirty" background. This was more noticeable on duplex documents. I thought the printer needed servicing, but some research showed the the toner could cause this problem. I bought one of these cartridges and upon installation the problem disappeared. I strongly recommend that you only use genuine HP toner cartridges!
