Hi there all, hey just wanted to get my bit in... Just purchased the HP v220w 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive - and am happy with it - I actually quite like it, small look's very sleak an sexy... I have used it on a number of different laptops and desktops, APPLE & WINDOW's XP and 7 and mounts 1st time every time I LIKED IT SO MUCH I went and bought another one.... Now tell me... what do 90% of all people who use usb flash drives carry? a set or bunch of keys be it house keys or car keys - now because of the small size it fits in with your keys and does not stand out as a usb flash drive, which is why I like it so much , you have no excuse of losing it (unless you lose your keys which only happens maybe once in a life time ) Overall I think the earlier reviews which were from the unhappy customers may just have got theirs from a bad batch which does happen and they have a right to be unsatisfied but the product does work and is as good as any other out there just your preference.

From the other reviews, it's safe to say I took a gamble purchasing this product. But I loved the design and is was the right capacity at the right price for me, so I took the plunge. I have had zero problems. It is a little small, but it's speed is that of an average usb 2.0 drive. No crashing, no breaking. Fits on a keychain. Doesn't damage easily. I like it. I'm not sure what happened with everyone elses, but whatever it is, I'm experiencing none of the problems. I uploaded a picture to give you a sense of size and surface. I took off 1 star because it wasn't as fast as the sandisk ultra backup 16gb usb 2.0 drive I was replacing (my dog chewed it up) and also because its occasionally hard to pull out of a port due to how small and smooth it is. Not a deal breaker though. PS, its pretty sexy and looks great with my Envy 14 Spectre ;)

Absolute GARBAGE. Will not mount at all on Mac OS X and only once out of five tries on Windows 7 and once out of seven tries on Vista. Terrible engineering and completely unacceptable for a USB drive. AVOID THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

This drive was not recognized by my Dell Optiplex 980 computer. It does work in two other computers, including Dell OPtiplex 745. On the other hand, every other Flash Drive I have works fine in both Dells. So it's hard to tell what's going on. Bottom line: I need to return the gadget.

All I wanted was a simple flash drive but when I plugged it in and it said it had installed software and I would have to restart my computer I knew I was in trouble! The driver seems to only allow the flash drive to be recognized in the USB slot you first put it in or something like that. I wasn't recognized in the second computer I plugged it into. It's ashame, the design is nice. Unfortunately now I have to return it to the store and worry about the software that was installed.
