We've been using this frame for several years to hold Golden Apple Awards certificates. The gold trim on the provided mat perfectly matches our logo. We prefer the acrylic to glass, since we know it will arrive intact; and when it's on display in a school it can't be shattered by accident in a busy hallway. The acrylic comes with a peel-off protective film so it doesn't get scratched before hanging.

Wow. This is so unbelievably cheap and junky. Thin plastic and not a real mat- just card stock you punch the center out of- ridiculous for the price. You can find much nicer quality for the same price at craft stores.

The certificate is protected by a heavy plastic. However, on the frames I recieved the plastic was already scratched. The wood frame is very flimsy and the actual wood portion of the frame is 1/2 inch wide. The hangers on the back are tabs from the cardboard backing and the matting requires you to pop out the center. The matting resembles a preprinted glossy box. Some of the matting on the frames I ordered had white flecks where the ink was not deposited correctly. Overall, it is my opinion that the frames are cheaply constructed and I would not purchase this specific frame again.
