First, the package arrived with a piece missing, the top of the shelf for the interior printer stand. I hope there won't be any problem with receiving the missing piece. Second, the screws are rubbish! I know this is a budget piece, but it seems really stupid to skimp on the screws... I'd be happy to have paid a few extra dollars for better ones. They stripped out easily, and the "I" wood screws were so tiny that they didn't securely hold in the door hinges and I had to scrounge through my collection of random screws to replace them. Getting the doors to line up has been a total nightmare. I am very handy at putting things like this together and have never had this much of a problem. One of the pieces of door hardware was bent. The finish has this faux "burnout" sort of look that I didn't notice was there from the photos, which looks cheap, in my opinion. It would look much more sophisticated if it were a straightforward cherry finish. There were also minor scratches and blemishes on the finish, not enough that I would send it back, but enough that I wouldn't have bought it from a showroom floor. The only pros are that it is a great space saver and that once it is all together, it looks fairly decent (if you can look past the wonky doors, I suppose my guests won't notice, but I sure do!!) I never take the time to write these reviews, but this time I was so frustrated that I felt I was doing my civic duty to save other people the trouble of buying this frustrating piece of furniture!

Directions were hard to follow. Two of the panels had cracks in them causing the product not to be as stable as it would have been.

Nice design. I have limited space so it is great that I can use it as an end table in the living room.

The instructions for this desk could not have been written any better. They were perfect. They even tell you what NOT to do when assembling it. The parts also fit right together with no fighting or fussing. All the hardware is even in a conveniently labeled package. I can't tell you the last time I bought something that went together so well with such well-written instructions. I would highly recommend it.

I modified for use as storage by installing a small shelf unit. Pocket doors are great but preclude attaching shelf brackets. Wonderful rich color!

It's perfect for my 14 X 11 home office. Looks great with my vertical file cabinet and executive desk. Takes up very little space, but still does the job of concealing my CPU, printer, modem and printing supplies. The pocket doors work well.
