I purchased this design (sliding from side to side) after I read the comments on the signs that slid top to bottom and didn't stay after it had been used for a period of time. So far the suction cups are holding it up and it had been easy to use.

After reading the reviews on this sign and others we decided to try this sign out as it was the only horizontal mounted sign.

Every other sign available were vertical mounted signs that would eventually wear out and drop to open from closed on its own. We replaced one that did exactly that with this new sign.

The sign maker includes a razor blade to cut out the letters/numbers from the mold strips. There were plenty of letters/numbers to form a welcome message and store hours on the sign. You have to be careful not to damage the tabs on the letters/numbers that hold them to the board.

The board itself holds the letters/numbers tight and we haven't had any problems with the suction cups slipping or not sealing. All I used was a fingertip dip of water smeared on the inside of the cups before placement of the sign on our front door. Of course I cleaned the front door window with window cleaner before placement as well.
