            This product was a total failure. The UK adapter did not fit into the outlets in the UK and in the process of attempting to make it work, it broke. It was frustrating to literally throw out that much money.

                    This will not work to directly charge your iPad as it provides only 5W through its USB ports and the iPad requires a 12W charger. However, the iPad A/C adapter is rated for 100V to 240V. You can plug your iPad into this adapter using the charger you already have.

                    The I/O Magic Travel Power Adapter features a step down converter and will take an input up to 240VAC, so you'll have no problems using this alone as a power source.
